35,000 missing people in Syria says International Committee of the Red Cross | DW News

Even as many Syrians joyfully celebrate the fall of Assad, it’s a different story for the families of those who went missing under his rule. It’s estimated some 150 thousand people disappeared during Syria’s 13-year civil war. Most of them were arrested by Assad’s security services. Many families are now searching for their missing loved ones in morgues.
