From Global News.
An eight-year-old Toronto boy has died after he was struck by a stray bullet while asleep in his bed early Saturday morning.
Police were called to Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive on the north side of the city around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a boy had been shot.
The child was rushed to hospital but did not survive. A spokesperson for the family called his death “horrific and senseless.”
Toronto police say they’re allocating every resource in the city to find who is responsible. Global’s Lexy Benedict reports on the investigation.
