Thirty-two international researchers participated in a study that evaluated how climate change affected the fires that incinerated parts of Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Malibu as well as other areas of Los Angeles. Their findings point toward global warming. 2024 was the hottest year in recorded history, as was 2023 before that. The warming trend alarms scientists. The scientists say extreme fire incidents are "projected to continue into the future."
