Canadians are bracing for the impact that Saturday night’s tariff and counter-tariff announcements will have on the economy.

“I think this will be bad for the economy, I think there will be job loss, I think there will be less money in people’s pockets. I think it will be in the order of a regular recession,” says University of Toronto economics professor Peter Morrow.

Morrow says among the worst hit will be the auto industry.
