🪕 Folk singer and musician Rhiannon Giddens is nominated for Best American Roots Performance and she played banjo on Beyonce’s Grammy-nominated album “Cowboy Carter.”

The album has been viewed as a reclamation and homage to an overlooked legacy of Black Americans within country music and culture, which Giddens says African Americans have been a “huge part of.”
