A 7-year-old tragically died in a junior drag-racing event when she lost control of her dragster. Zayne Burgess is the top youth go-kart racer in America. His parents fully support him but say they frequently fret about the dangers. In a statement, Youth Racers of America says, “With proper safety gear, the sport is incredibly safe, and when injuries do rarely occur it’s because of freak accidents or incorrect safety protocols.”
