Pope Francis’ chest CT scan taken on Tuesday evening has shown slight improvements in his health, the Vatican said. The 88-year-old pontiff remains in critical condition, after suffering a respiratory crisis over the weekend.
The Vatican also announced that the Pope is calling a meeting with senior church officials.
No date has been set, but as Jeff Semple reports, it is reigniting rumours and speculation about the Pope’s future.
