Canadian telecom giant Telus and artificial intelligence heavyweight Nvidia have teamed up to build what they call a multi-million “sovereign AI factory” in eastern Quebec.

Telus will sell Canadian companies and researchers access to software and super computers powered by Nvidia chips.

The hope is that the facility will allow Canada to capitalize on AI innovation, while keeping data within Canada. Anne Gaviola explains.
