Argentine President Javier Milei faces a third general strike against his fiscal austerity policies as the social climate continues to deteriorate. The three main trade unions mobilize in front of Congress, joined by social organizations and retirees, and will halt activity for 24 hours from midnight, demanding a shift in the austerity policy. The country has sought a $20 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund as the government struggles to hold on to foreign reserves while propping up an ailing currency.
