Israel continues airstrikes on Gaza, killing at least 23 people. Most are women and children

Israel’s military says its air force struck 45 targets across Gaza in the past 24 hours as it continues to go after Hamas. The latest airstrikes hit a densely packed neighborhood in Gaza City. Gaza’s Health Ministry says Israeli attacks have killed nearly 1,500 people, most of them women and children, over the past three weeks since Israel shattered a ceasefire and went back to war. The U.N. says more than 60% of Gaza is now under military evacuation orders. The latest airstrikes on Gaza City, however, hit an apartment block that’s not in an evacuation zone.
