International student killed in Hamilton shooting “had no time” to react as police seek suspects

From Global News.

On Wednesday, Hamilton Police Sgt. Daryl Reid said 21-year-old Harsimrat Randhawa "had zero capability of avoiding what was about to unfold in front of her" after the international student was struck and killed by a stray bullet during a shootout between two vehicles in Hamilton, Ont.

“I know from watching the video that it happened very quickly,” Acting Det. Sgt. Daryl Reid told reporters and added, “Harsimrat Randhawa had zero capability of avoiding what was about to unfold in front of her,” Reid continued.

“Everything unfolded so quickly. She had no time at all to react.”

The investigation has led to the recovery of a Hyundai Elantra in Northwestern Toronto and a Black Mercedes SUV linked to the case.

Sgt. Reid emphasized their commitment to the investigation, asserting, “We will leave no stone unturned until we find you,” while urging those connected to the incident to come forward.
