As President Donald Trump’s tariffs drive a wedge between its closest allies, he’s preparing for a high-stakes meeting with Canada’s new prime minister, Mark Carney. "I’m not sure what he wants to see me about, but I guess he wants to make a deal,” the president said in the Oval Office on Monday. This comes as China says the United States “should stop threatening and pressuring” in order to start negotiations. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.
