Part of the Birch Glacier has collapsed in Switzerland, burying a mountainside village under tons of rock and ice. Earlier this month, authorities evacuated the village’s residents to safety, but at least one person is missing.

Swiss authorities say it’s one of the largest mass movements of earth ever seen in Switzerland.
