U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he did not have any ceasefire talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the NATO summit but said that he thinks that "it’s a great time to end" the Russia-Ukraine war.

Regarding the potential sale of Patriot anti-air missile systems to Ukraine, Trump stated, "We’re going to see if we can make some available. You know, they’re very hard to get."

He also mentioned plans to communicate with Russian President Vladimir Putin in efforts to end the ongoing war, acknowledging that "Vladimir Putin has been more difficult. Frankly, I had some problems with Zelenskyy.. and it’s been more difficult than other wars."

"Vladimir Putin really has to end that war," Trump said.
