When Voyagers 1 & 2 were launched in 1977, we sent them with a golden record with sounds, language, music and images encoded on the analogue waveform, just like a regular record. But if we were to launch a new follow-up, maybe called Voyager 3, would we still send a golden record or use a new type of storage to tell the story of humanity?
