⚡ Power Rangers Time Force was great… but the original Japanese show? Even better.

Like most 90s kids, I grew up obsessed with Power Rangers. The costumes, the fights, the Zords—it was peak after-school TV. But then I learned the truth: Power Rangers was actually just repackaged footage from Super Sentai, a Japanese series that had been running since the 1970s. And last year, I finally sat down to watch the real version of Time Force—Mirai Sentai Timeranger.

And let me tell you… we were ROBBED.

🕰️ Timeranger has deeper characters, darker themes, and actual stakes. It’s not just "teens in spandex yelling one-liners"—it’s a high-concept sci-fi show about fate, free will, and the cost of changing history. There’s romance, tragedy, and some of the best action and storytelling in the entire Super Sentai franchise.

So how does Timeranger compare to Time Force? And why does America keep watering down amazing Japanese media for kids? Let’s talk about it.

Have you ever watched Super Sentai? What’s your favorite Power Rangers season? Let me know in the comments!
