After the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) put out a memo concluding there was no Jeffrey Epstein "client list" following an investigation, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about the case on Monday.
“There was material they did not release because, frankly, it was incredibly graphic and it contained child pornography, which is not appropriate for public consumption,” Leavitt said.
Pressed further about comments made by Attorney General Pam Bondi, who seemingly referred to a Epstein client list, Leavitt said “she was saying an entirety of all of the paperwork, all of the paper in relation to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.”
Epstein, who was accused of preying on underage girls as young as 14, was found dead at the age of 66 in a jail cell at New York City’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in August 2019, before he could stand trial in Manhattan on sex-trafficking charges. The New York City medical examiner ruled his death a suicide, a conclusion also supported by the Justice Department.
For years, many have speculated the names of prominent figures involved in Epstein’s sex trafficking network have been kept secret.
