From MSNBC.
President Donald Trump announced Thursday that the United States would apply a 35% tariff to all imports from Canada beginning next month, reviving tensions with a major trade partner that had dissipated mainly in recent weeks. In a post on Truth Social, Trump hinted at tariff relief “if Canada works with me to stop the flow of fentanyl.” Prime Minister Carney responded that Canada is committed to combating the crisis. Meanwhile, Trump says broader global tariffs are coming, raising new concerns about inflation and Fed rate cuts. CNBC’s Frank Holland joins #MorningJoe to break it all down.
