Russia launches massive drone and missile attack on western Ukraine

Russia launched a sweeping overnight assault on Ukraine’s west on Saturday, killing at least two people in Chernivtsi and injuring more than 20.

Ukrainian officials say more than 300 drones and cruise missiles were intercepted in the latest wave of attacks.

Major damage was reported in Lviv, Lutsk and Chernivtsi, while Kharkiv also faced multiple strikes.

The escalation comes as efforts toward a peace agreement remain stalled.
