Prime Minister Mark Carney is standing by Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree.

Global News reported that before joining cabinet, Anandasangaree had asked Canadian officials to approve the permanent residence of a man who immigration officials already deemed was a member of a terrorist organization.
