Morton Estrin – Chopin Ballade No. 4
This piano has just been rebuilt and refinished with new pinblock and strings. The original soundboard is in phenomenal condition! The action was rebuilt within the last twenty years and hasn’t had much play since then. It has brand new Renner whippens. So the action plays with velvety smoothness.
Baldwin and Steinway dominated the concert stage for most of the 20th century. Some of the greatest concert pianists of all time were Baldwin artists. There is a warmth to the tone, and a bass that is unrivaled on great Baldwin concert grands like this instrument.
