From Global News.
In a White House press briefing on Thursday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt chided the media for covering Jeffrey Epstein "like it’s the biggest story the American people care about."
She defended the administration’s handling of the case, saying, "some of the most trusted voices in the Republican Party movement” reviewed the case files before deciding not to publicly release them.
She added that the president has maintained that if the Department of Justice came across any other credible evidence in the case, "they should provide it to the American people."
After rumours circulated in the media about assigning a special prosecutor, Leavitt said "the president would not recommend a special prosecutor in the Epstein case."
