After the Trump administration approved the $8 billion Paramount–Skydance merger, Joe Scarborough warned that Republicans may come to regret the precedent being set:
“You can be fighting for four years, and all you’re doing is setting a precedent for left wing Democrats or some crazed independent billionaire in the future. It’s just bad policy, and most importantly, it works ultimately against the very thing you’re trying to stop. Because there’s always blowback.”
