Three workers who were trapped for 60 hours underground in a B.C. mine have been safely rescued and reunited with their families. U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed scepticism regarding trade negotiations with Canada, stating he is "not hopeful" about reaching an agreement before the looming Aug. 1 deadline. This deadline marks a potential increase in tariffs on certain Canadian goods, which could rise to 35 per cent. Meanwhile, aid agencies in Gaza are raising alarms, accusing Israel of employing "starvation" as a tactic of warfare amid ongoing conflict. The medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has reported that the conditions in Gaza are "unconscionable," as hunger reaches unprecedented levels among both patients and healthcare workers.
