President Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyden struck a major trade deal ahead of the Trump administration’s August 1st tariff pause deadline. The deal includes hundreds of billions of European investment in American energy, investments and military equipment and no tariffs on American goods in exchange for 15% blanket tariffs on European goods. Former Senior State Dept. Ned Price, Axios senior economic reporter Courtenay Brown, and NBC’s Yamiche Alcindor join Alex Witt to react to the deal.
