From Global News.
A young couple who survived a horrific car crash are continuing to battle a long list of serious injuries. Both face a long road to recovery, and it could be weeks — even months — before they can return home.
33-year-old Taylor Ramoutar was driving her 35-year-old husband, Jonathan Ramoutar, to the airport in the early morning on July 21 — a routine they follow every Monday when Jonathan flies to northern Alberta, where he works in the province’s oil industry.
According to police, the couple was hit head-on by a Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by a 25-year-old, who investigators said first struck and killed a pedestrian.
The force of the collision was so great that both vehicles ended up on their roof, and rescue crews had to use extraction equipment
As Jayme Doll reports, their families have been at their hospital bedsides every day.
