Israeli media has reported that Benjamin Netanyahu is considering ordering the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip, 20 years after the Israeli military last withdrew from the Palestinian territory, but some media outlets are suggesting that the rumoured plans are a negotiation tactic. Netanyahu’s key coalition partners, Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, have long advocated for the re-establishment of Jewish settlements in Gaza.
