Some more of the toys Tim acquired in the year 2000…
Tim shows a wire that lights up when an electric current flows through it. Electroluminescence (EL) is an optical and electrical phenomenon, in which a material emits light in response to the passage of an electric current or to a strong electric field. It has a variety of applications, one of which is in clothing, as many designers have brought this technology to the entertainment and nightlife industry.
A circular cylinder that opens up and folds into a whole variety of shapes. It is actually an advertising item, but one you are more likely to keep than if it was just a sheet of paper or a poster.
Three battery powered dice. Tap them on the table, the lights flash on and off, and then settle down to a number from 1 to 6. More fun than just rolling dice maybe?
A finger spinner… a slinky made in the USA that is battery powered and gives you instructions… a pencil with a spinning satellite at the top…
Finally, two bouncing balls connected with a cord that exhibit very strange bouncing characteristics.
