US President Donald Trump has said that Ukraine AND Russia would have to cede territory to each other to end the war. He was speaking ahead of Friday’s bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Ahead of Trump’s meeting with Putin, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has invited the US president to a virtual summit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well as European and NATO leaders.
