Zelensky to meet Trump in Washington after Alaska summit ends without ceasefire deal | BBC News

From BBC News.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky will fly to Washington DC on Monday to meet Donald Trump, after the US and Russian presidents left Alaska without a Ukraine agreement.

Trump insisted progress was made but "we didn’t get there" after three hours of talks, while Vladimir Putin said he was "sincerely interested" in ending the war.

Zelensky said he had a “long and substantive” conversation with Trump after the summit, which included other Nato leaders.
