Details are emerging from US president Donald Trump’s summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Reports suggest Putin told Trump he’d be willing to freeze the Ukrainian frontlines and stop trying to take more territory – in exchange for keeping the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Trump has also told European leaders he’s willing to offer US security guarantees to Ukraine.
