Data centres have become so important to our modern way of life that they are now seen as strategic assets. The race to install the even more powerful AI data centres is now seen in the US at least, as a matter of national security. However, they are now becoming so large that powering them and keeping cool, it’s becoming difficult to find locations for them.
But what if you were to put them where it’s extremely cold and there is unlimited power, yes, in space.
There is now a new race that is underway to put A.I data centres into space. But, as we know, space and computers don’t always go together well, and in this video, we look at why this is so and how it can be done.
