Toronto Pearson Airport “eerily quiet” as Air Canada cancels hundreds more flights

From Global News.

It has been one day since the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) defied a federal back-to-work order for Air Canada flight attendants.

Despite the airline promising to resume flights on Sunday, the union representing the airline’s flight attendants remains on strike, with thousands more travel plans being cancelled at the last minute.

The result? A severe drop in airport traffic Canada-wide.

Global’s Jaden Lee-Lincoln reports from Toronto Pearson Airport’s "eerily quiet" Terminal 1, where hundreds of Air Canada employees continue to picket.
