Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked President Donald Trump for the invitation in remarks from the Oval Office.

This marks the first time he is at the White House since Trump and Vice President JD Vance accused Zelenskyy of not being grateful enough of U.S. assistance.

Zelenskyy thanked Trump for his "personal efforts" to end the war. He also thanked first lady Melania Trump for a "peace letter" she gave to Russian President Vladimir Putin about protecting Ukraine’s children.
