Will a trilateral meeting between Putin, Zelenskyy and Trump happen next? | DW News

From DW News.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he had the ‘best’ conversation yet with US President Donald Trump. He was speaking after a face-to-face meeting at the White House.

The two were joined by a host of European leaders who accompanied Zelenskyy to Washington in a show of solidarity. The talks are aimed at finding a way to end Moscow’s three-year war against Ukraine. They follow Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska last week.

DW Correspondent Benjamin Alvarez Gruber joined us earlier from in front of the White House. He told us where Trump, Zelenskyy and European leaders found common ground.

DW’s Brussels correspondent Terri Schultz has been monitoring events in Washington for us. She gave us this assessment from the European perspective.

Richard Walker, DW’s Chief International Editor, joins for an even deeper analysis.
