Texas Democratic lawmakers returned after a two-week walkout that blocked GOP redistricting efforts pushed by Donald Trump, only to face a House rule by Speaker of the House Dustin Burrows requiring police escorts to ensure quorum. State Representative Nicole Collier, a seven-term Democrat from Fort Worth, refused to agree to an escort and prepared to spend the night in the Capitol.
