Torrential monsoon rains lashed Pakistan’s commercial capital Karachi, causing traffic gridlock and power outages, a regional government spokesperson said. Authorities said 5.7 inches of rain had fallen in the city and that there could be more urban flooding in the country’s south, including Karachi.
