Egypt reveals 2,000-year-old sunken artefacts off Alexandria coast | AFP

Statues are hoisted by crane from the Mediterranean Sea to the shore at Abu Qir Bay in Alexandria, artefacts from a sunken city unveiled by Egypt dating back over 2,000 years. Authorities say the site, located in the bay, may be an extension of the ancient city of Canopus, a prominent centre during the Ptolemaic dynasty and the Roman Empire.
