The Texas Senate passed a newly redrawn congressional map which gives Republicans a big advantage in five more districts. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to quickly sign the bill into law. The early redistricting was encouraged by President Donald Trump in an effort to help Republicans keep control of Congress in the 2026 midterms.
