Nikole Hannah-Jones joined MSNBC’s The Weekend: Prime to discuss why the Trump administration is targeting the Smithsonian. She explained that the administration is using race as a tool for political power, attempting to recast white Americans as the primary victims of racism. To justify these policies, she said, they are working to erase the nation’s true history, particularly the legacy of slavery and its impacts on Black Americans.
