During the Army’s 250th anniversary parade, ABC News correspondent Stephanie Ramos described her experience being deployed to Iraq: "What really sits with me is the work we did with the children there."

Soon after the 9/11 terror attacks, Ramos had joined the Army Reserve. Five years later, she was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, and was there for a year before returning home.
