Adelita Grijalva won the Arizona Democratic special congressional primary to fill the seat of her father, longtime Democratic U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who died of complications from cancer treatment in March 2025. Girjalva is set to face Daniel Butierez in Arizona’s 7th Congressional District special election in September.
