Afghan refugees in Pakistan face evictions and border repatriations

From Global News.

Dozens of Afghan refugee families in Pakistan are being forced from their homes as authorities push ahead with a crackdown on documented Afghans before a Sept. 1 deadline.
In Islamabad, evicted families sheltered in a public park, citing police raids, food shortages and fear of Taliban rule if deported.

At the Chaman border, others waited to return to Afghanistan, some saying they were leaving voluntarily.
Rights groups warn the mass deportations, alongside those from Iran, risk further destabilizing Afghanistan’s fragile economy.
