A thick blanket of smoke is sweeping across much of central Canada, prompting Environment Canada air quality warnings from across Quebec, southern Ontario and Manitoba.

The organization says westerly winds are carrying smoke from active wildfires, creating conditions that could linger into Tuesday.

As Global’s Amandalina Letterio reports, the smoke is impacting visibility, outdoor activity and people’s health.
