From Global News.
34-year-old Minetta Norrie, a beloved kindergarten teacher with an adventurous spirit, tragically lost her life in an avalanche while skiing in the backcountry of Kananaskis Country in Alberta.
Her brother, Eric Norrie, recalls the devastating moment he learned she wasn’t coming home.
“That whole night it was basically mostly shock. Even when you think you’ve processed it. It wasn’t until the morning after that it really hit.”
Friends and family remember Minetta as a kind, energetic soul who touched the lives of many, from her students at Cappy Smart School to those she traveled the world with.
As they prepare to say goodbye, they reflect on the incredible impact she had and the memories she leaves behind. Global’s Craig Momney has their emotional tribute in the video above.
