From Global News.
Alberta experienced cooler weather and higher relative humidity on Thursday, but officials say it’s too soon to breathe a sigh of relief as wildfire danger across the province remains high.
The most notable fire in Alberta is burning northeast of Edmonton in Sturgeon County, near the town of Redwater. It doubled in size to approximately 3,000 hectares over the span of 24 hours.
While an evacuation order in Sturgeon County was expanded, the evacuation order in Thorhild County was downgraded on Thursday.
Global’s Erik Bay has the latest on the wildfire situation in northern Alberta.
