Amazon truck hits Calgary woman’s car, couple fights insurance for damages 2 years later

From Global News.

A Calgary couple is battling with their insurance company over damages to their 2015 Dodge Journey, which they claim were caused by a hit-and-run incident involving an Amazon delivery vehicle in February 2023.

Surveillance video shows the Amazon cargo van driving along the icy road when it appears to lose control and slides into Avery’s vehicle.

After a collision in a residential neighborhood, the couple’s car was left severely damaged, with hidden damage that insurance refuses to cover.

Despite the vehicle being repaired once, further issues arose, including leaks and more undiscovered damage.

The couple is frustrated with both Amazon and SGI CANADA, as they continue to fight for accountability and a fair resolution.

Craig Momney has more on their ongoing struggle to get the insurance coverage and support they feel they deserve.
