Repair costs for your Mac or iPhone can get pricey, but fortunately for those who are tech savvy, Apple is now rolling out a new Canadian program that lets you fix your own device.

Customers will soon be able to buy official parts and tools directly from Apple, including everything from batteries to screen replacements.

The program also lets customers access diagnostic software and manuals to troubleshoot issues with their devices.

It sounds like good news for customers, but as Global’s Amandalina Letterio explains, it comes with a catch.
