A regional passenger train with more than 100 aboard derailed in southern Germany, killing 3 and injuring 41 on Sunday, authorities said.

It happened about 158 kilometers (98 miles) west of Munich. Investigators believe it was caused by a landslide brought on by heavy rainfall.
