President Trump’s sweeping tariffs on goods across the globe are set to take effect Thursday. Auto supplier Detroit Axle says it’s going to have to lay off employees and close a warehouse because of the tariffs’ effects.

Also, Trump said that the US was close to a trade deal with China, while threatening secondary sanctions and increased tariffs on India if it continues to buy Russian oil.
